Description

2 houses, part of early terrace, now hotel. c1820-30. Red brick in Flemish bond, No.30 has grey brick headers. Roof concealed, brick stack on right at No.30. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 2 wide bays. No.29 has on left 5 steps with attached flanking railing approaching C20 glazed door with fanlight set under round gauged brick arch with moulded imposts. On right is a 3-storey tripartite canted bay to ground, first and second floors, each floor has centre 4-pane sash and narrow flanking sashes, paired pilasters divide lights, brackets and moulded cornices. No.30 has on left 5 steps with attached flanking railings approaching recessed C20 door, panelled reveals, ribbed pilasters, projecting C20 porch with engaged Doric columns, frieze and pediment. On right is a 2-storey tripartite canted bay to ground and first floors similar to No.29 but smaller. Both bays have attached guard rails to ground floor sills. Second floor has 4-pane sash set under flat gauged brick arch. Nos 29 and 30 have brick dentil band and coped rendered parapet. INTERIOR not inspected.
