Description
Villa. c1840. Stuccoed. Low pitch hipped Welsh slated roof, rendered stack with stone bracketed and moulded cap to left and right of central 3 bays. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 5 bays 1:3:1, outer bays have slight projection. Verandah across ground floor supported on thin capped cast-iron columns, timber panelled frieze bowed around centre 3 bays, tented roof. At centre is a large 2-storey bow window with 3 glazed 2-leaf French casements, with similar flanking French casement. On first floor central bow window has 3 sashes, and flanking left and right is a tripartite sash with wide centre sash and narrow flanking sashes. Wide projecting bowed eaves, bow window has conical roof. Slightly projecting band below eaves. Return to left has entrance with 2-leaf 4 moulded panel door, upper panels glazed, fanlight, projecting porch with round arch opening, moulded architrave to head, facing pitched roof with ornate bargeboards. To left tripartite canted bay with centre sash and 2 narrow side sashes, paired pilasters divide lights, frieze and cornice. On right are 2 narrow casements. First floor has canted tripartite oriel, and lead pitched roof, blinded flanking windows within stone moulded architrave. INTERIOR not inspected.
