Description
Barn, now restaurant and bar. Late C18, converted 1993. Timber frame with weatherboarding, red brick base. Welsh slate hipped roof, half hipped to north face, C20 brick stack to right. North part 1-storey, south part 2-storeys. West elevation has 4 C20 4-light wide timber casements and to right of far left window a C20 2-leaf glazed door. On right return are 2 similar windows and 2-leaf entrance door. On right C20 extension with timber casement to full width of wing, 2 dormers. C20 extensions at rear. INTERIOR: the timber roof structure on posts is intact and restored. 7 bays. Each truss with tie-beam, arched brace supporting purlins, principal rafters. Paired brace from soffit of tie-beam to post. Aisles to east and west sides.
