Site Description Details:
Visit Date: 12/MAR/1984
Originally part of C13 Hospital of St John and St Nicholas, converted at dissolution to store then in late C16 to residence for military governor. In 1827 all buildings except what is now the Garrison Church demolished. Restored 1866 by Street. Bombed in 1940, chancel undamaged, nave a roofless shell etc.
