Description
House, later bank, now flats. Late C18, alterations C19 and C20. By Samuel Wyatt. Stuccoed. Roof to No.59 concealed, No.60 has flat topped Welsh slate roof. Rendered stack to left of No.60. No.59: 3 storeys, No.60: 3 storeys and attic; 5 bays, the 2 left bays (No.59) project. Rusticated ground floor and No.59 also has rusticated quoins at second and third floors. On left, No.59 has 4-panelled door set in glazed screen; on right, No.60 has 4-panelled door with overlight and 4-pane sash on each side, all openings set within round-headed rusticated recesses. First floor sashes, of 12 panes to No.59 and 4 panes to No.60 with recessed panels below sills. Second floor sashes 6 panes. Dentilled cornice and coped parapet over with higher parapet to No.50. Three C20 dormer windows to No.60. C20 extension on roof of No.60. Return on right of 5 bays. INTERIOR not inspected.
