Description
The only source for this work appears to be an article in the Evening News dated 17th July 1986. It reports that Russell Fox, the Curator of Archaeology for Portsmouth Museum Service, found evidence of shoreline reclamation during digging at Rudmore Flyover. It is not clear whether this was a museum service excavation/watching brief etc. or whether Mr Fox had been called in by workmen.
