Event/Activity EPM233 - Archaeological Building Recording, Ariadne Block, Gunwharf Quays

An archaeological building recording at the Ariadne Block, Gunwharf Quays, was undertaken by Gifford and Partners in March 2000. The recording was commissioned as part of the planning consent for the demolition of the building during the redevelopment of the Gunwharf site. The Ariadne Block was construction 1922-1925 and during its history acted as a dormitory block, administrative centre and social events venue. During the building recording floor plans of all accessible rooms were produced together with a photographic record of both monochrome and polychrome prints. Museum Accesion No: 2000/289
