Description

Survey/investigation carried out by archaeologists from Portsmouth Museum Service on a section of stone wall exposed by workmen during the demolition of Victoria Barracks in March 1967. No archive for this work appears to exist apart from several photographs. The wall was interpreted as footings to the mid-18th century line of fortifications. Only a six figure NGR is recorded for the site.
