Event/Activity EPM310 - Fort Cumberland Ravelin Renewal

A watching brief was carried out by the English Heritage Central Archaeology Service at Fort Cumberland in November 1997. Archaeological monitoring took place on work to replace an underground power supply cable running from the security office to the coastguard offices in the Ravelin via the Parade Ground and Land Curtain. The only record for the work appears to be a note and drawings held by Historic England at Fort Cumberland. A report summarising the project created by Historic England in 2025 states that 'No findings of note were recorded from the work'. The project code is recorded as 616.
