Type and Period (1)
Full Description
A watching brief in 2008 revealed the remains of an access road associated with the 19th century Dock Mill. The road was represented by a layer of gravel, 100mm thick, which may have formed an early gravel road surface, or bedding layer for a cobbled surface. A layer of flint cobbles also present on the site, was thought to have been the remains of a cobbled surface belonging to the access road.
