Full Description
Roman pottery sherds and one intact urn were recovered from a field in 1870. A black pottery vase containing c. 1000 silver coins was later discovered in 1897 (see MPM44). The vase was deposited with Portsmouth City Museum, but was lost when the museum was destroyed by Second World War bombing.
