Monument MPM1139 - Rough Stone Wall, Burrow Island

Rough stone wall or infill comprising rough irregular chunks of limestone, held together with coarse, sandy mortar. The wall is located on the east side of Burrow (Rat) Island - 30 meters south west of conspicuous sign 'Danger Submerged Cables'. The wall is being eroded by high tides due to the soft loose nature of the feature and the surrounding embankment of the island.

The wall was recorded by The Hampshire and Wight Trust for Maritime Archaeology in 1996.
