Boundary ditches to an Iron Age enclosure discovered during the cutting of a trench for a gas pipe-line in 1969. Finds included pottery sherds, possible fragments of quern and three pig molars.

The boundary ditches of an Iron Age enclosure were discovered during the cutting of a trench for a gas pipe-line in 1969. A number of artefacts were discovered, including pottery sherds ( one shoulder rim in coarse orange/brown with flint inclusions and one rim sherd of smooth buff courseware with some burnishing, possibly Roman). Possible fragments of quern, fragments of red fired clay and three pig molars. Site found in November 1969. Artefacts kept by finder.
