Full Description
Fragment of gold bracelet, 'worn and battered', and small finger-ring found in 1928 by workmen digging/constructing the Rock Gardens, to the east of Southsea Castle.
The bracelet was recovered from 'the black soil eighteen inches below the surface', and apparently looked modern. The ring was made from ivory and set with three small stones. It was suggested it was 19th century in date. No further details. Exact location unknown.
