Full Description

Pottery dating to the late-17th, 18th and 19th centuries recovered during excavations in Area A, Northumberland Road, in 1983. The pottery sherds were contained in a mixed soil layer, which had been disturbed by 19th century cultivation. The pottery included coarseware, earthenware and stoneware. Four fragments of 18th century bottle glass were also recovered, and sherds of 13th century pottery (seeMPM2154)
