Building MPM1344 - National Westminster Bank, 8 London Road

Stone fronted bank building built c. 1890-1910. Pairs of pilasters at each side of façade, three-storey, nearly opposite junction with Kingston Crescent (previously known as Kingston Cross)[1]. Cogswell plans for extension in 1914 [2]. Renumbered from No 6 to 8 between 1940 and 1946 [3]. National Provincial Bank until it merged with Westminster Bank in 1968, becoming the National Westminster Bank. Adopted title Natwest in 1990s. [4]
