Pottery, tile and ironwork fragments, thought to have dated to the 14th or 15th century. Reported as having been found during an amateur dig in a drain pond near the old Hawker Siddeley factory on Airport Services Road in 1964. Exact location not known.

Pottery, tile and ironwork fragments, thought to have probably dated to the 14th or 15th century, found during an amateur dig in a drain pond near the old Hawker Siddeley factory on Airport Services Road in 1964. The location of the finds has been estimated using the 1952 Ordnance Survey map, which shows a pond near engineering works thought to belong to the former Airspeed/Hawker Siddeley factory site No. 2, and Portsmouth Golf Course. The only know record of the excavation is report in the Portsmouth Evening News on 28th May 1964, written by a Mr G.R Marchant who carried out the work with a friend.
