Full Description

A series of walls belonging to 19th century buildings which previously stood on the corner of Regent Street and Flathouse Road, were recorded during a watching brief for the Trafalgar Gate Link road in 2010. Regent Street and Flathouse Road were demolished during the mid-20th century. The walls comprised: a north-south wall (17) approximately 1.10m long, stretcher bonded; possible east to west return of wall 17. The bricks had a shallow rectangular frog of mid-18th to 19th century date; a wall running north to south parallel to Ward Bay/Sydney Street. A number of demolition grubbing cuts which were visible across the site had largely removed any structure.
