Building MPM1466 - 3 St Michael's Road

Former Poor Law Offices built 1879. Red brick two storey building with oriel windows on corners, and slate roof. [1] The words 'Overseers Offices A.D. 1879' are carved in stone above the door.

The address is last recorded as the Overseers' Office in the Kelly's Directory for 1926/7. The building was also used as the Rate Office (before and after the Second World War), and briefly as the Motor Registration Offices during the post war period. It is not listed in the last edition of Kelly's produced in 1976. [2]
