Full Description
Public house incorporating two buildings: the original Ship and Castle designed by Rake and A. E. Cogswell in 1923, and the former King and Queen Public House by A. E. Cogswell 1924. The original Ship Anson building is half-timbered with a jettied façade to earlier building, leading light windows with some stained glass surviving on the ground floor which also retains glazed tiles. Former King and Queen building is red brick with bow windows on first floor.
