Monument MPM1529 - Large feature, Pembroke Path

A large feature of uncertain form revealed during a watching brief along Pembroke Path in 2010. Its fill consisted of a very dark grey soil which contained one fragment of limestone and one fragment of brick. The limestone was weather worn and probably came from the beach, while the brick fragment would suggest a post-medieval to modern date. The feature cut a layer of brown silty clay loam which contained occasional brick fragments. It was located 8m to the north-east of two limestone walls of unknown date and function (MPM1527).
