Full Description
Site of former Royal Marines-style concrete pillbox. Constructed 1940-41. The Defence of Britain Project database states that the pillbox was located at Eastney Fort West. [1] However, the coordinates supplied are for a location approximately 420m to the west of the fort. A structure is shown c60m to the west of this location on the post-war aerial photographs at approximately SZ 6597 9850, and may represent this pillbox. [2]
