Full Description
Second World War air raid shelter cut into Portsdown Hill. One entrance was located close to the site of the post-war Cliffdale Gardens. Known as London Road air raid shelter. The entrance to the shelter has been sealed, and is not accessible.
A second air raid shelter was cut into Wymering Chalk Pit, approximately 1450m to the west (see MPM 1009).
