Monument MPM1652 - Former Dwarf Mill/Rudmore Lime Mill

A small tower windmill on the west coast of Portsea Island, dated 1776-1855, with chain and worm gear and lime kilns adjacent [1]. Has been called Lime Mill or Rudmore Lime Mill [2 p34]. Shown on Lewis' map of 1833 and the Portsea Tithe map of 1838 as being located north of Mile End Cemetery [3, 4].
