Full Description
The remains of a stone foundation belonging to the original Armoury building of Old Gunwharf (built 1690-1710), was revealed during a watching brief in 2002. The foundation was 1.2m wide, on a north-west south-west alignment, and had brickwork built off it. The Armoury was demolished in the early 20th century when the Ariadne Wardroom was constructed on the site.
