Full Description
Remains of a barrow marked on the 1952 Ordnance Survey map. The site is not marked on modern Ordnance Survey maps.
Twelve skeletons were removed from a barrow said to have been in a chalk pit near the Naval Telegraph in 1816 (see MPM1694). It is not possible to determine whether this was the same barrow, or whether the barrow excavated in 1816 was completely destroyed.
