Full Description
A long single-storey brick building built for the Portsmouth and Gosport Hide, Skin, Fat and Wool Company Ltd in c1896 [1,2]. The company is listed as being in Copnor Road from 1896 [2]. The site was still in use as a tannery in 1990, but has been the Copnor Bridge MOT Centre since 1998 [3, 4].
