Full Description
Fort Cumberland Sewage Pumping Station was built in 1942 to act as an emergency backup if the main pumping station in Henderson Road was bombed. It consisted of a concrete bunker situated partly below ground, which housed a Ruston and Hornsby diesel engine. The site fell into disuse after the war and is now grassed over and used as a park.
