Full Description

Circa late-19th century building, exterior much altered during the 20th century. The Women's Royal Naval Service (WRNS) were stationed here in 1917 (possibly until 1918/19). A series of photographs held in the collections of the Imperial War Museum show members of the WRNS in the ward room, mess room, recreation room and outside the building. The façade bears the sign of Miller's Hotel.
