Full Description
19th century anchor recovered during an archaeological watching brief from a trench excavated for cable ducting on Victory Parade, Portsmouth Dockyard, in c. 1999. The anchor was thought to be of 'single fluted dredger' type. It was found c. 4m below a cobbled surface (see MPM1746).
