Statue of a man, woman and child in 19th century dress located on the paved area behind 18 Gun Battery (Hot Walls) Old Portsmouth. The following text is written on a brass plaque set into the plinth 'A PERMANENT LEGACY TO THE COMMITMENT OF THE EUROPEANS WHO COURAGEOUSLY LEFT THEIR NATIVE LANDS TO CREATE A NEW HOME IN AMERICA. PRESENTED TO THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH ON 27TH AUGUST 2001 BY MEMBERS OF THE PIONEERS HERITAGE FOUNDATION'.
