19th century clay tobacco pipe bowls and stems and one 18th century pipe found at the rear of the High Street Fur Stores (123 High Street) c1953.

Clay tobacco pipes recovered from a site at the rear of the High Street Fur Stores 123 High Street in c1953. Portsmouth Museums collections database records there were 108 bowls and 30 stems belonging to 19th century pipes, possibly all made by Henry Leigh and Co of Portchester, and one 18th century pipe made by G. Longworth of London (name on stem). Accession no: 1953/156 and 1953/157.
