Type and Period (1)
Full Description
Two small tin-glazed ointment jars recorded on Portsmouth Museum's collection database as having come 'from the site of Lloyds Bank, High Street, Old Portsmouth' via the City Development Officer c1960. Lloyds Bank had moved from No. 60 High Street to newly built premises at No. 33 High Street by 1960. Therefore the location of the find has been assigned to the latter as it would appear the jars were recovered during development work. Museum Accession No: 1960/107 and 1960/108.
