Full Description
Small section of thick stone wall exposed in the foundation trench for the southern garden wall at Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery in the early 1970s. The wall is visible running approximately northeast southwest across the trench in a City Architect's photograph in the collections of Portsmouth History Centre, but there is no further documentation. It may have been related to the Portsmouth line of fortifications.
An approximate location for the wall has been given.
