Full Description
19th century brick water cistern found in the back yard of 12 Broad Street during unmonitored groundworks in July 2021. The cistern was approximately 2.1m square and 2m deep and was situated in the south west corner of the yard to the rear of the property. Part of the structure had to be removed for new foundations to be excavated, and the remaining part was filled with concrete for stability.
