Second World War SWS (Static Water Supply) sign painted on the north wall of 64 Northern Road, Cosham. SWS painted in yellow on brick wall. No visible background.
SWS signs directed the Fire Service to the emergency static water tanks that were located around the city for use in fighting fires during and after bombing raids.
