Full Description

Regularly spaced linear anomalies on the south-west side of Farlington Marshes identified during a geophysical survey in 2023 and interpreted as the remnants of post-medieval ridge and furrow. The anomalies were spaced 4 m – 6 m apart and were mainly orientated south-west to north-east, with two to the east oriented south-east to north-west. They were located within the same area as ridge and furrow identified from 1940s aerial photography and mapped as part of the South-East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment.
