Full Description
Earthwork of unknown date and function situated approximately 100m to the southwest of Fort Widley on the north side of Southwick Hill Road, Portsdown Hill.
It has been suggested this may be the remains of a light railway embankment used to transport constuction materials to the ridge of the hill when the Palmerston forts were built in the 1860s.
