Full Description
Cobbled roadway of uncertain date recorded in the northeast part of Castle Field during a watching brief on a topsoil strip for the Southsea Coastal Defence Scheme. The roadway consisted of a linear road surface on a northeast-southwest alignment which had been constructed from stone cobbles and had a solid stone laid kerbing on the north side. The section of road observed was 5m long.
