Site of King Williams Gate, built 1834. The gate was situated within the the defensive town wall at the eastern end of Pembroke Road (previously 'Green Row'). It was demolished in 1870.

Full Description
Site of King Williams Gate, built 1834. The gateway was situated at the eastern end of Pembroke Road (previously 'Green Row'). It was constructed to allow easier access to Southsea through the line of fortifications that surrounded the town of Portsmouth. The gate was demolished in June 1870.
