Summary
Site of the East Bastion. The bastion was positioned at the eastern end of the line of fortifications which protected the town of Portsmouth (area now known as Old Portsmouth). The town defences were demolished during the 1860s/1870s. The site is now occupied by Portsmouth Museum.
