Full Description
Lighthouse built at the request of the Admiralty in 1828, situated on the north face of the Western Gallery gun platform of Southsea Castle. Originally manned by a keeper, now operated by an automatic light. The lighthouse marks the deep water channel for vessels entering Portsmouth harbour.
