Full Description
Naval canteen and theatre built 1899-1903, with later alterations and additions. Refurbished in 1991. Designed by Superintendent Engineer Colonel Sir Henry Pilkington RE for the Admiralty. Part of the first barracks for sailors, built at Devonport, Chatham and Portsmouth to similar plans. The complex was formerly known as HMS Nelson.
