Full Description

Former Army barracks canteen built 1847-48, now part of HMS Nelson Royal Naval barracks. Originally part of the Anglesea Barracks (Army), and one of the oldest canteens in an English barracks. The navy took over the barrack buildings in 1899 to form part of the first barracks for sailors at Portsmouth. Formerly known as both Anglesey Barracks (Army) and HMS Victory (Navy).
