Building MPM801 - NUMBER 9 STORE (BUILDING NUMBER 1/35)

Naval storehouse built 1782, now a café and shop. Constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and flat-topped mansard slate roof. The ground floor doors facing the Main Road were removed in order to make an internal walkway in 1980. [1,2]

The base plates of a crane which transferred goods from the first floor of the storehouse to the dockyard railway are still attached to the corner of the northern end of the building. [2]
