Description
Monument. c1870, refurbished 1992. Stone, iron and bronze. Bronze angel of peace mounted on a polished granite base with rounded front and projected by an elaborate cast-iron canopy with 4 columns. The structure is set on a granite base with drinking fountain. Taps and cups are missing. Inscription reads "This fountain was given to the people of Portsmouth by his son and daughter, Baron Emmanuel Emmanuel, Alderman J.P. who was Mayor of Portsmouth 1866-1877".
