Event/Activity EPM208 - Building Recording at Treadgolds Warehouse, Portsea, Hampshire

An historic building recording was carried out by Southern Archaeological Services at Treadgolds Warehouse, Bishop Street, Portsea, on the 25th February 2008. Originally a warehouse and store belonging to William Treadgold & Co Ironmongers, the grade II listed building had been used as a museum store during the late-20th century. The recording was carried out prior to the conversion of the building to apartments. The survey concluded that the building was a brick built warehouse of mid-19th century date, and had been used for storage and as a workshop since at least 1860. Most of the internal fittings had been removed, but a few original features survived. Accession No: 2008/41
