Event/Activity EPM77 - Archaeological watching brief at 185-187 Fratton Road, Portsmouth

Archaeological watching brief carried out on groundworks for the construction of two buildings for flats at 185-187 Fratton Road. A total of nine trenches were observed, exposing natural deposits, modern contexts, and a deposit of unknown date. Most of the site had been disturbed by building work, and no medieval or post-medieval residual artefacts were identified. Two modern pits contained fragments of 19th century bricks and a bottle. 2006/1567
