Monument MPM1229 - Gully, Highbury Street

Shallow gully on a northeast to southwest alignment, possibly medieval in date, although no datable evidence was present. Revealed during excavations in Highbury Street in 1975.

The site is known as 'Highbury Street', although excavations took place in three areas on land between St. Thomas' Street and Highbury Street now occupied by housing centred on Hanover Court. This record relates to a feature from 'Area 3'. Further evidence of medieval occupation was found in Areas 1 and 3, see records MPM16 and MPM1228.
