Full Description
One of two concrete rafts revealed during a watching brief along Pembroke Path in 2010 (also see MPM1542). The date and function of this feature are not known, but it may be part of a Second World War defensive structure, possibly a concrete gun emplacement. Gun emplacements were constructed along the ramparts during the war, and the remains of some of these still survive.
